Joost Buitenweg was born on May 24, 1967 in Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands. He is an actor, known for Goede tijden, slechte tijden (1990), Capo di Famiglia: Part II (2020) and Sam Sam (1994). He has been married to Anouk since September 23, 1994.

Has two children with Anouk: sons Olivier (born 23 December 1995) and Stijn (born 30 October 1990).

In 1996 he founded a actingschool; RJBstudio in Almere, Netherlands. This company gives acting lessons for starting actors.

He founded Pixelthis. A media production company for creative content in which he is producer and director.
