Monty Budwig was born on 26 December 1929 in Pender, Nebraska, USA. He is known for T-Bird Gang (1959), The Proper Time (1962) and Jazz Scene USA (1962). He was married to Arlette. He died on 9 March 1992 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

West coast bassist who had notable collaborations from the 1950s, with Barney Kessel, the Red Norvo Trio, Woody Herman, and Benny Goodman. Toured with a band led by Shelly Manne. House musician for Concord Records in the 1970s.
