Biography

Franz Buchrieser was born on December 26, 1937 in Graz, Austria. He is an actor, known for Kill Cruise (1990), Berlin Alexanderplatz (1980) and Murer: Anatomy of a Trial (2018).

Best remembered for his starring role in the satirical TV crime series Kottan ermittelt as the eponymous Viennese police officer Adolf Kottan.

In between acting and writing for the stage, he often retreated to his farm in Styria which he also operated as a farmer.
