  • In the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s she appeared on many TV westerns, including Gunsmoke (1955), Bonanza (1959), Wagon Train (1957), Death Valley Days (1952), The Virginian (1962), Wanted: Dead or Alive (1958), The Big Valley (1965) and many more. She was at least as well known for her TV western appearances as for horror movies.
  • Bryar is mostly known for appearing in small roles in a few horror films, such as "Mrs. Spool" in Psycho II (1983) and "Arlene's Mother" in I Was a Teenage Frankenstein (1957). In her death scene in the final scenes of Psycho II (1983), where her character, "Mrs. Spool", is hit on the head with a shovel, she wore a protective skull cap under her wig to deflect the blow from the rubber shovel.
