Biography

Robbie was born in Elmhurst Queens and raised in NJ. In 1997, Robbie formed his film company, Good To Be Seen Films with partner Christie Botelho. The company soon completed its first feature, The Stand-In, which Bryan wrote, produced, and starred in, along with Judith Ivey, David Ogden Stiers, Lou Myers and Kelly Ripa. It was released worldwide on DVD. In 2006, he was hired to Co-Produce the feature film, Man From Earth, starring Tony Todd, William Kat, John Billingsley and Richard Riehle. The film was one of six films nominated for a 2007 Saturn Award, for Best Sci-Fi DVD of the year and was released globally by Anchor Bay.

In 2008, Robbie made his directorial debut on the feature iMurders, with stars Frank Grillo, William Forsythe, Gabrielle Anwar, Tony Todd, Billy Dee Williams, Charles Durning and Margaret Colin, which he co-wrote. The suspense/thriller/horror film was released through Anchor Bay/Starz and distributed worldwide. He was honored to Co-Produce the Gilda's Club sponsored, The Grief Project , a short designed to help those dealing with the loss of a loved one through terminal illness. It starred Alysia Reiner of Orange Is The New Black and David Naughton.

After studying film/cinematography at NYU, 2011 saw Bryan tackle cancer with his provocative Choose, a short film which played at the Academy Award Qualifying LA Shorts Fest and prestigious Oldenburg Film Festival and screened for charities all over the U.S. raising money and awareness.

In a twist of fate, Bryan was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer in 2015 right before he was due to shoot his psychological thriller, The Eyes. The feature was put on hold, but three months after completing aggressive chemo and radiation, production resumed. The film was released in 2017 and is described as Saw meets Twelve Angry Men and starred Nicholas Turturro and Vincent Pastore. It received a limited theatrical release and a two-year run on Showtime. Bryan then served as Consulting Producer on the romantic comedy Sam, directed by Nicholas Brooks, son of legendary talent Mel Brooks, who acted as Executive Producer. He joined the sci-fi anthology producing team of the feature, Immortal in 2019, starring Tony Todd, Dylan Baker, and Mario Van Peebles. The picture was picked up for distribution on all digital platforms.

In February of 2020, Bryan was hired to Direct and Produce the heart-wrenching short film, American Morning, co-starring Emmy-Winner Richard Schiff, telling the story of an elementary school shooting and the music teacher who must live with having to have made an impossible choice. Bryan also serves as an Exec-Producer on the feature, Even In Dreams, released in select theaters on August 4th, 2021. In 2022, he penned and directed the mystical short film, Purgy's, starring Richard Riehle and Arnold Chun which begins its festival run in 2023.

In 2026, Bryan is set to film the Road trip, Coming-of-Age Dramedy feature, Black Hat, a mash-up of live action and anime, which has a social media following over 2 million strong.
