Biography

C.D.B. Bryan was born on April 22, 1936 in New York City, New York, USA. He was a writer, known for The Face of War (1963), Friendly Fire (1979) and Future Flight (1987). He was married to Mairi Graham, Monique Widmer, Judith Snyder and Phoebe Miller. He died on December 15, 2009 in Guilford, Connecticut, USA.

Stepson of John O'Hara.

His father was a magazine writer and editor. After his parents' divorce, his mother married novelist John O'Hara, who was a great influence in "Courty's" interest in writing fiction.

In addition to writing both novels and nonfiction, he was a teacher and book reviewer.
