Had a child with Charles Manson: Valentine Michael (nickname Pooh Bear) April 15, 1968. He was raised by her parents and grew up believing that Mary Brunner was his sister and his grandparents were his parents. He was told the truth when he was 9 years old. He now lives in the Midwest and has had no contact with Manson, whom he calls "an evil little man who I have nothing to do with.".

Was a librarian at the University of California, Berkeley, when she met Charles Manson in 1967 while walking her dog. She is considered the first member of what's known as the Manson family

Was arrested for armed robbery with other Manson family members at a gun store in Hawthorne, California, after a shootout with police. She was sentenced to 10 years at the California Institute for Women, during which she renounced Manson and his crimes.
