Biography

Paul Brown was born on May 13, 1960 in Cowbridge, Vale of Glamorgan, Wales, UK. He was a costume designer and production designer, known for Angels and Insects (1995), Up at the Villa (2000) and Lucia di Lammermoor (2009). He died on November 13, 2017 in Crymych, Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK.

He was awarded the 2001 London Critics Circle Theatre Award (Drama) for Best Designer for Platonov performed at the Almeida Theatre at King's Cross.

He was awarded the 2000 London Critics Circle Theatre Award for Best Designer for Coriolanus, Richard II, and The Tempest performed at the Gainsborough Studios for the Almeida Theatre.

He was awarded the 2001 London Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best Stage Designer for Platanov and The Tempest at the Almedia Theatre.
