Biography

Betty Brown was born on January 10, 1896 in Butler, Pennsylvania, USA. She was an actress, known for Our Relations (1936), That Sort (1916) and The Blindness of Virtue (1915). She was married to Wayne Murray and Ted Healy. She died on November 24, 1975 in Victorville, California, USA.

Stan Laurel and Betty Healy kept in touch with each other through letters following their work in "Our Relations" in 1936 and continued to correspond with right up until Stan's death in 1965. These letters can now be read as part of the Stan Laurel Correspondence Archive Project website. Most likely knowing both Ted Healy and his comedy team, later The Three Stooges, Stan always had kind words to say about both Ted and members of the Stooges in his letters to Betty.
