Biography

Ian Broudie was born on August 4, 1958 in Liverpool, Lancashire, England, UK. He is a composer and actor, known for Definitely, Maybe (2008), Clueless (1995) and Purely Belter (2000).

Is an accomplished producer, working on records for The Coral, Dodgy, Echo & the Bunnymen, The Fall, Frazier Chorus, Alison Moyet, Republica, The Wedding Present and Wall of Voodoo among others.

Is the lead singer, guitarist and principle songwriter for the Britpop band, The Lightning Seeds.

Had a major hit all over Europe with the single "Three Lions (Football's Coming Home)", released to coincide with the Euro '96 soccer cup in the UK. The song was re-released two years later for the World Cup '98 in France and became a huge hit once again. The video for the re-release featured fellow singer Robbie Williams.

Said that he came up with the name The Lightning Seeds from having misheard the line "The thunder drowns out what the lightning sees" in Prince's "Raspberry Beret.".
