  • Bald, emaciated-looking character comedian, the son of a brewer and on stage from 1915. A mainstay of Berlin comic opera and master of improvisational comedy dance routines. In films from 1931, mostly as comic support, his talents best showcased in several Defa productions made between 1948 and 1955.
  • Ego Brosig was able to continue his stage and film career after the war.
  • From 1931 he got regular offered support roles and he took part in movies like "Der alte und der junge König" (1935), "Napoleon ist an allem schuld" (1938), "Der Tanz auf dem Vulkan" (1938) and "Bel Ami" (1939).
  • Egon Brosig already entered the film business in 1920 with "Nihil Nemo Kakadu" (1920) but this remained his only film in the silent movie era.
