Amy Brooks was born in 1971. She is an actress and producer, known for Say Anything (1989), Broadcast News (1987) and The Edge of Seventeen (2016).

Older half-sister of Chloe Brooks, Cooper Brooks, & Joey Brooks.

Daughter of James L. Brooks & Marianne Catherine Morrissey.

Graduated from Bennington College, Bennington, Vermont - BA Liberal Arts with emphasis on Theater and Literature, June 1993. Correspondent and reporter for People and Teen People 1995-2001. Graduate of University of California at Berkeley, Graduate School of Journalism 2001.
