Stefan Brogren was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is a director and actor, known for Degrassi: Next Class (2016), When I Said I Do (2026) and The Next Step: Cheer (2026). He has been married to Michelle Shaughnessy since January 15, 2017.

In School's Out! (1992), he was the first person to use the word "fucking" on Canadian television.

He has played the same character (Archie Simpson) in three different series: Degrassi High (1987), Degrassi: The Next Generation (2001) and Degrassi: Next Class (2016).

He attended Earl Haig Secondary School in Toronto, Ontario (formerly North York), the same high school as his Degrassi: The Next Generation (2001) co-star Jake Epstein.

Won a Gemini in 2010 for best direction for a youth program.

Son of Sheila Brogren and Ingvar Brogren.
