Farren Monet

Farren Monet Danielle Brodie is the daughter of child actor turned writer/director/producer, Kevin Brodie and actress/model Joanna Dierck. She is the third generation of actors in her family and spent most of her childhood growing up on movie sets. Her grandfather, Steve Brodie, starred in numerous films and television shows, including the great film noir classic, "Out of the Past"(1947) . Farren had her first taste of filmmaking as a young kid when her Dad let her call "action" for him. He also featured her in small roles, which further ignited her interest in being in front of the camera. She studied with Ivana Chubbuck for her first lead in the Warner Brother's film, A Dog of Flanders (1999), alongside Jon Voight and Jack Warden. After wrapping, she returned to her L.A. based middle school, but couldn't stay away from her love for acting, participating in all of her school's theatre productions, including "The Music Man" and "Peter Pan," landing the role of Wendy. She studied film history in college and utilized DGA q&a(s) as her own type of film school, soaking up as much knowledge as she could from the industry's top directors. Farren has immersed herself in learning just about every aspect of filmmaking. She has written, produced, cast, directed, and edited short films, as well as a pitch for an original TV series she created, based on her life and experiences growing up in L.A. as the daughter of parents in the industry. Farren has also studied with The Groundlings.
