Biography

Lorraine Broderick is known for All My Children (1970), Days of Our Lives (1965) and Guiding Light (1952). She is married to Ronald Delehanty.

She began her writing career as an assistant to the writing team on All My Children (1970) in 1979 and began writing for the show full time in late 1981. She won two Daytime Emmys (with Wisner Washam) for Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series. She has also won a Writer's Guild Award and two GLAAD Awards.

She is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College. She received her Masters degree in East Asian studies from Stanford University. She became associate dean of the College at Wesleyan University in Connecticut, where she also taught Chinese literature until 1979.
