Biography

Lou Brock was born on August 21, 1892 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA. He was a producer and writer, known for Flying Down to Rio (1933), So This Is Harris (1933) and Down to Their Last Yacht (1934). He was married to Phyllis Ryley, Helen Christian and Helen Starr. He died on April 19, 1971 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Although he was at one time a highly paid executive at RKO Pictures (he was the producer who brought Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers together, and was later in charge of RKO's short-subjects department) and worked as a producer for many other Hollywood studios, at the time of his death in 1971 his job was a night clerk in a Hollywood hotel.
