Biography

R.S.M. Brittain was born on September 12, 1899 in Liverpool, Lancashire, England, UK. He was an actor, known for Lisa (1962), Rotten to the Core (1965) and The Concrete Jungle (1960). He died on January 9, 1981 in Chester, Cheshire, England, UK.

Made several, mainly cameo film appearances, following his many years of army service. He was usually credited not by name but by his rank of Regimental Sergeant Major.

1947: Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE).

After army service he initially worked as a sales executive at an men's outsize wear store.

By the time he retired from the army he had trained over 40,000 men.
