- Jim Britt was born on April 11, 1910 in Indiana, USA. He was an actor and writer, known for College Football on DuMont (1950), Candlepin Bowling (1958) and 1951 Army-Navy Game (1951). He died on December 31, 1980 in Monterey, California, USA.
- Radio voice of the Boston Braves and the Boston Red Sox from 1940-1950. Among those he worked with were Mel Allen, Bill Corum and Curt Gowdy.
- Inducted into the Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2013.
