In the past, I always used to be looking for answers. Today, I know there are only questions. So I just live.

When I sing, I close my eyes. If I see a feather, everything is fine. Without this image in my mind, the sound is not 'truthful' enough and I must begin again. I have to. I first had this feeling, this instinct, with 'The Phantom of the Opera', and since then have always listened to it.

[on the tentative intention of being part of a sub-orbital space mission in 2015] When I go through my albums there is always an area that uses the space aspect. It's a life-long thing. I met a lot of people [in the field] and at some point was asked if I'd be interested in a deeper experience. At first I said, 'No, I don't dabble in things'. It's not like packing for an overnight case..But then I was asked a second time and I felt psychologically ready to at least start training, see how I would fare.

[observation, 2013] As I get older I become more imaginative, and feel like I have maybe a shorter time to get a lot of things going on in my mind done. I look at composers and conductors, anybody involved in music or writing or art in general; they got more done as they got older. If I can, I'll be one of those people because what I do is my passion.
