Biography

Alan Bridges was born on September 28, 1927 in Liverpool, England, UK. He was a director and producer, known for The Hireling (1973), American Playhouse (1980) and Out of Season (1975). He was married to Ann Castle. He died on December 7, 2013 in the UK.

Graduated from RADA.

An Associate Member of RADA.

Briefly attended Oxford University. Graduated from RADA in 1946, winner of the Emile Littler Prize.

Made his reputation as director of numerous television dramas for the BBC in the 1960's.

Acted in Shakespearean roles with the Birmingham Repertory Theatre Company in the 1950's.
