- Ramón Bravo was born on October 21, 1925 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico. He was a writer and cinematographer, known for Leviathan (1989), Licence to Kill (1989) and Tintorera... Tiger Shark (1977). He died on February 21, 1998 in Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
- He is best known for discovering the now-famous Cave of the Sleeping Sharks where he photographed Tiger Sharks sleeping on the ocean floor off Isla Mujeres off the Yucatan Peninsula in the Caribbean north of Cancun.
