Michel Brault was born on 25 June 1928 in Montréal, Québec, Canada. He was a cinematographer and director, known for Of Whales, the Moon, and Men (1963), Orderers (1974) and Threshold (1981). He died on 21 September 2013 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
