Stephen Brathwaite

Originally from Canada's national capital, Ottawa, Stephen Braithwaite was born in 1949. He and his older sister Noreen Young grew up in its community of Almonte. They professionally worked together as puppeteers beginning with Follow That Bird (1985). That Warner Brothers cinematic production was followed by two spectacular Christmas television specials, Jim Henson's: The Christmas Toy (1986) and A Muppet Family Christmas (1987). They performed as Gloria Gopher and Jacob Bluejay on Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's Under the Umbrella Tree (1986). Reruns of this television series aired on Disney Channel in the United States from 1990 to 1997.
