Biography

Eddie Brandt was born on August 5, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He was a writer and composer, known for The Beatniks (1958), It's the Wolf (1969) and Frankenstein, Jr. and the Impossibles (1966). He was married to Claire Brandt and Ruthie James. He died on February 20, 2011 in North Hollywood, California, USA.

Has a son, Donovan, who has worked in his father's movie memorabilia store since age 7.

Owns and operates Eddie Brandt's Saturday Matinee, a world-famous movie memorabilia and video store in North Hollywood, California.

Composer, songwriter ("There's No Place Like Hawaii"), author and writer, educated at Northwestern University and Texas A&M, he wrote special material for Joan Davis, Eddie Cantor and Spike Jones from 1946 to 1958, and songs for films.
