Biography

Ron Brandsteder was born on May 19, 1950 in Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands. He was an actor, known for Moord in Extase (1984), Dancing with the Stars (2005) and Code Kampen (2021). He was married to Yvonne Baggen and Patty Brard. He died on February 10, 2025 in Netherlands.

Frequently worked with André van Duin.

Has two sons with Baggen: Bob and Rick Brandsteder.

At the age of seventeen he made his debut on Dutch television with his cabaret group. After high school, Brandsteder initially went to study at Nyenrode University.

Brandsteder was known in the Netherlands and Flanders as a presenter of major television shows on Saturday evenings, such as Showbizzquiz and Ron's Honeymoonquiz and game shows such as Wie ben ik? and Dancing with the stars.

He experienced successes on television and in the theater alongside André van Duin. He was the pointer for the latter's jokes.
