  • When she was asked to be an announcer, first for VARA and later for NCRV, she played a prominent role in the early development of Dutch television in the 1950s and 1960s. NCRV also regularly uses her for other programs, such as the cabaret show Artisjok. • She married actor and director Steye van Brandenberg in 1954 and moved to Rotterdam, where the Rotterdam Theatre is located. After a break due to her pregnancy, which led to her dismissal (at that time, pregnant women were not allowed to work in the theatre in the Netherlands) , she returned to the NCRV broadcasting network in 1956, having given birth to two children. She would remain in this role until 1964.
  • As a singer she released two LPs, Een avond in 't Winkeltje (1969) with cabaret numbers and Vandaag (1974) with listening songs.
  • In 1978, Van Brandenberg and Robert Long created the cabaret program Levenslang, with which they traveled together through the Netherlands and Belgium.
