First actress to play in theater the great modern American poet Elizabeth Bishop, in "Um Porto Seguro Para Elizabeth Bishop". Recently, Amy Irving played the same role, in an American version of Bishop's journey in Brazil: "A Safe Harbour for Elizabeth Bishop".

Husband Drauzio Varela is a doctor and writer of Carandiru (2003).

She has two children, Gabriel Braga Nunes and Nina Braga Nunes, with Celso Nunes. She has also two stepdaughters named Mariana Varella and Letícia Varella.

Won a Molière in 1983 for the play "Chiquinha Gonzaga".
