Biography

Paul Bown was born on October 11, 1957 in Fenton, Staffordshire, England, UK. He is an actor, known for The Damned United (2009), Time Riders (1991) and Underworld (1985). He is married to Jane Jamieson. They have four children.

Was one of a number of actors who was considered for the lead role in Jonathan Creek (1997).

Dated Lesley Dunlop for four years in the mid-1990s.

He has acted with three members of the cast from Not the Nine O'Clock News (1979), including Griff Rhys Jones and Mel Smith in Morons from Outer Space (1985), as well as Rowan Atkinson in Mr. Bean (1990). He also appeared with Smith in the play, The Gambler which ran at the Hampstead Theatre in 1986.

Patsy Byrne played his mother in the sitcom Watching and she portrayed Nursie in Blackadder which starred Rowan Atkinson who has also worked with Paul.
