  • A frequent character actor in both Canadian and American film and series, John Bourgeois can be seen in the upcoming series as Ray Quinlan "The Westies"(MGM Paramount) as well as Bill Macdonald in " The Greatest" (Amazon Prime). He is best known for the 2002 Peabody award winning film, "The Interrogation of Michael Crowe", as well as the cult horror movie "Ginger Snaps". He played opposite Wesley Snipes in "Murder at 1600", Sharon Stone and Rupert Everett in " A Different Loyalty", and was General Radford in "X-MEN: Apocalypse". With the late, great James Caan, he performed both in "Jericho Mansions" and "A Glimpse of Hell". He has appeared opposite notables such as Brenda Fraser, Kiefer Sutherland, Greg Kinnear, Winona Ryder, Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, Rose Byrne, Brendan Gleeson, Jeff Daniels among many others. He produced and directed the film short "Jimmy Pacheco" and the feature length indie, "After Lola". The latter was made with the graduating students of Humber College's Acting for Stage and Screen program where he was program director (2005-2024).

    An award winning stage actor and a two-time nominee for best stage director, he has appeared on stages throughout Canada and the US, including the Stratford Festival and off-Broadway. His 2002 one man play, Tansey's Brag, was a hit at the Toronto Fringe Festival and was subsequently recorded for CBC Radio and filmed for Bravo TV's Spoken Word series.
