Christopher Bottoms is a cinematographer and camera operator based in New York and a member of IATSE Local 600. Over a career spanning documentary, commercials, and major studio features - from New York to Hollywood and back - he has developed a rare fluency across every format and scale the industry demands.
A working DP who has never stopped operating, Bottoms is at home across the full range of the craft: arm cars and remote heads, close-quarters handheld, the technical precision of a large studio production, the instinctive intimacy of a small documentary. That breadth isn't incidental - it reflects a genuine belief that the best camera work lives somewhere between technical mastery and human intuition, regardless of the size of the production.
His credits include The Smashing Machine, The Curse, Crystal Lake, and Deliver Me From Nowhere.
The son of Tony Award-nominated stage actor John Bottoms, he divides his time between Brooklyn and the Western Catskills, New York with his wife and 2 children.
