- Singer, songwriter, composer, arranger and actress, Connee Boswell studied with Otto Finck. With her sisters Vet Boswell and Martha Boswell she formed The Boswell Sisters, appearing on records, radio, in theaters and films, but later continuing her career as a single. In World War II she entertained the armed forces and appeared in the Broadway shows "Star Time," "Curtain Time," and "Show Time." Joining ASCAP in 1953, her song compositions include "Putting It On," "I Don't Mind," and "You Ain't Got Nothin'".

- Her polio-weakened wrist and hand forced her to change the spelling of her name from "Connie" to "Connee." During autograph sessions, the repeated dotting of the "i" caused severe pain and cramping.

- Sister of Vet Boswell(1911-1988) and Martha Boswell(1905-1958). Together, they were the Boswell Sisters singing group until 1936 when Vet and Martha left the group to get married. Connee continued as a solo. Her husband, Harry, was the group's business manager, a role he continued in her solo career.
