Ruud Bos was born on 8 February 1936 in Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands. He was a composer and actor, known for De Stichting Durmazon presenteerd: Dur mag zoveel niet. (1974), De zeemeerman (1996) and Dagboek van een herdershond (1978). He was married to Marjan Berk. He died on 30 June 2023 in Netherlands.

Composed the music used in several attractions in Dutch theme park Efteling, including Fata Morgana, Dreamflight, Villa Volta and Bird Rok, as well as the prelude in the Haunted Castle.
