Biography

Ferike Boros was born on August 2, 1880 in Nagyvárad, Austria-Hungary [now Oradea, Romania]. She was an actress, known for Once Upon a Honeymoon (1942), The Light That Failed (1939) and Bachelor Mother (1939). She died on January 16, 1951 in Hollywood, California, USA.

Hungarian-born character actress, on stage from 1900. She moved to London in 1903, two years later appearing at Covent Garden. In New York by 1909, she had a brief career on Broadway, spanning the years 1911 to 1927, thereafter seen in small film roles as elderly mothers or kindly aunts.

In 1930, she operated an acting studio at 5668 Franklin Ave. in Hollywood. According to an article in the April 19, her "training for the stage and talkies has entirely a foreign method in which she only teaches classics and Shakespeare.".
