Tomás Borge was born on 13 August 1930 in Matagalpa, Nicaragua. He was married to Marcela Pérez, Yelba Mayorga and Josephine Cerda. He died on 30 April 2012 in Managua, Nicaragua.
Prominent Nicaraguan author and politician. He was the minister of the interior for Nicaragua from 1979-1990 and was the last surviving founder of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN).
