Biography

John A. Bonner was born on January 21, 1929 in Colorado, USA. He is known for The Poseidon Adventure (1972), The Towering Inferno (1974) and The Mephisto Waltz (1971). He died on March 11, 1996 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

The AMPAS Medal of Commendation was renamed after Bonner in 1997. Among the recipients have been David Inglish, Don Hall, Douglas Greenfield, Mark Kimball, Ray Feeney, Richard Edlund, Paul Kenworthy.
