- Trained as a ballerina. Once won a prize for a daring impersonation of Lady Godiva. Was a former Latin Quarter showgirl.
- Fled the Nazis with her parents & moved to New York/Massachusetts.
- On December 2, 1954, overdosed on sleeping pills at Hotel Capitol in New York City. She was rushed to the hospital & survived.
