- Brother Roy Bogas has served as musical stand-in for the "Peanuts" character Schroeder. Roy continues to serve as pianist for the San Francisco Ballet and as music director of Holy Names College in Oakland.
- Wrote the music for all 121 half-hours of "Garfield and Friends." Co-wrote all the songs for the Garfield segments with wife Desiree for the first three seasons, and with writer Mark Evanier for the rest of the run. Did the voices of the ants in the famous "Picnic Panic" episode.
