Mark Blum was born on 14 May 1950 in Newark, New Jersey, USA. He was an actor and producer, known for Desperately Seeking Susan (1985), Crocodile Dundee (1986) and The Sopranos (1999). He was married to Janet Zarish. He died on 26 March 2020 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA.

He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in theatre. He received a master of fine arts degree from the University of Minnesota in association with the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis.
