Shirlene A. Blake is the Dance Director for the New York City Department of Education Office of Arts & Special Projects. Blake earned a BFA in Dance from Southern Methodist University, an Ed.M. in Dance Education from Temple University, and a Post-Graduate Advanced Certificate in Supervision and Administration from Hunter College. She is pursuing her Doctorate in Teacher Education within the Dance Education Program at Columbia Teachers College.
