Character actor with a wildly distinctive face. Used real name Oliver Prickett for stage work, especially at the Pasadena Community Playhouse, where he was a longtime fixture and teacher and where his brother was managing director. Used stage name Oliver Blake for scores of small film and television roles. Brother-in-law of actress Maudie Prickett.

He is best remembered as Geoduck, Pa Kettle's Native American friend, in five Ma and Pa Kettle movies: Ma and Pa Kettle Back on the Farm (1951), Ma and Pa Kettle at the Fair (1952), Ma and Pa Kettle at Waikiki (1955), Ma and Pa Kettle on Vacation (1952), and Ma and Pa Kettle at Home (1954). The role had been played by John Berkes in The Egg and I (1947) and Lester Allen in the first two movies.
