- Met husband/prop master Paul Blaisdell while both were attending New England School of Art and Design, marrying shortly after they graduated. They moved out West in the early 1950s. She worked alongside her husband throughout his career creating monster masks, costumes and special effects for lowbudget sci-fi and horror films.
- After her husband's death of cancer in 1983, she grew extremely reclusive. They had no children. She was found dead in her Topanga home on December 2, 2006, by a neighbor. The coroner placed the date of her death as November 30, 2006.
