Joyce Blair(1932-2006)

At 21, she married a wealthy London businessman in the rag trade, gave up her career at his request but still did the odd television show. She turned her hand to dress designing and traveled around France and America looking for fashion ideas, then got a part in a play. Her husband realised that he shouldn't have suppressed her natural talent, so she went back to the theatre. The marriage ended in 1960 after four years. Her second marriage was to insurance broker Henry Sheridan-Taylor resulting in a son, Adam, born 1957, and daughter Deborah, born 1969. She enjoys painting, sewing, cooking and decorating. She lives in Fulham.
