He was a composer and actor, known for Return of Mr. Superman (1960), Dev Anand in Goa (Alias Farar) (1955) and Arzoo (1950). He was married to Meena Kapoor and Ashalata Biswas. He died on 31 May 2003 in New Delhi, India.
