  • Rudolf Biebrach was born on November 24, 1866 in Leipzig, Kingdom of Saxony [now Saxony, Germany]. He was an actor and director, known for Die rollende Kugel (1919), Auf der Alm, da gibt's ka Sünd (1915) and Der Ruf der Liebe (1916). He died on September 5, 1938 in Berlin, Germany.

  • The actor and director Rudolf Biebrach made an education as a wood-block engraver and worked in this profession for a few years. Beside it he took acting lessons.
  • His daughter Erika-Margot Biebrach became an actress too.
  • Also as a movie director he was much in demand. For many of his movies he appeared as an actor himself and in those years he often engaged the actress Henny Porten for the leading role.
  • He made his stage debut in Giessen in 1890, afterwards followed engagements at different German cities, among others at the Thalia theater in Hamburg.
  • His creativity remained undiminished during the 20s both as an actor and director and he took part in numerous productions.
