Also Montreal City councilor (1998-2001) , she was the longtime partner of Allan Patrick.

Her mother (Constance Marchand Biddle) was a white francophone woman, and in the 1950s was shunned by members of her family for having married a Black man.

On the ridicule and prejudice she faced while growing up on account of having interracial parents: "I never felt accepted and used humor as my shield, defense and comfort throughout my adolescent years which, later on served me as I delved into the acting world."

She was planning on following the same musical path as her father and two siblings "...Until one day around the age of 10, I saw a UFO and from that moment my life had changed. I can't explain it, but in seeing the UFO I truly believed that I could do anything, and that's when it hit me that my anything was acting."
