- Was the assistant art director working with Thomas Azzari, the art director, on the Universal-MCA Studios/CBS TV pilot "Murder, She Wrote" in 1984. Location assignment included filming in Northern California in Mendocino, where the lead character Jessica Fletcher's Victorian residence was established. Filming local business store fronts, a ranger station, which would establish the Cabot Cove, Maine environment. Mary Ann Biddle had a set decorator position at Universal, but had started her career at NBC TV-Burbank as an assistant art director on "Days Of Our Lives" and on "Wheel of Fortune". The Universal Art Department director, William "Bill" De Cinzes, promoted Mary Ann to an assistant art director position. The interiors for Jessica Fletcher's kitchen and dining room, for the Sherrif's office, and for the doctor's office and residence were built on stage 29 at the Universal City Lot.
