Biography

Richard Bickenbach was born on August 9, 1907 in Indiana, USA. He was an actor and art director, known for Jonny Quest (1964), Charlotte's Web (1973) and It's the Wolf (1969). He was married to Dorothy Mae Baker. He died on June 28, 1994 in San Bernardino, California, USA.

Received credit as a voice actor impersonating Bing Crosby in six Warners cartoons between 1944 and 1950.

Animator and layout artist,in the 1930's and 40's, working respectively for Walter Lantz, Warner Brothers and MGM. From 1957 to 1975, he was employed at Hanna-Barbera as layout artist for The Flintstones and Yogi Bear (he also drew the comic book adaptations). Winner of the 1984 Motion Picture Screen Cartoonists Golden Award.

Is credited for the design of the first official 'Yogi Bear' model sheets,.
