Mother of Carlo Giordana, Andrea Giordana, Marina Giordana, Luca Giordana and Cristina Giordana, grandmother of Luchino Giordana.

She received much publicity in advance for her role in "Ben-Hur" as a Roman lady who has a romantic dalliance with Charlton Heston's hero, almost causing him to abandon his task of revenge on the villainous Messala. However, when the film finally opened in late 1959, her role had been entirely cut out except for an appearance lasting only seconds (and without dialogue), where her character is not referred to specifically and is seen as one of a crowd of people at a social gathering. The film ran for over three-and-a-half hours without her.
