- Werner Bernhardy was born on March 14, 1884 in Magdeburg, Germany. He was an actor and writer, known for John Barrens und seine Geliebte (1919), Der Glücksjunge (1918) and Der Leidensweg des Hainar Rönelund (1920). He died on July 29, 1953 in Berlin, Germany.
- In the sound film era of the 30s he continued his career as a movie actor and he took part in well-known productions as "Das Mädchen Johanna" (1935), "Truxa" (1937), "Die göttliche Jette" (1937) and "Das grosse Abenteuer" (1938).
