Biography

Harry Bernard was born on January 13, 1878 in San Francisco, California, USA. He was an actor, known for The Shadow (1937), Saps at Sea (1940) and The Rogue Song (1930). He died on November 4, 1940 in Hollywood, California, USA.

Harry Bernard was buried in Hollywood Memorial Park and lay in an unmarked grave for 70 years until Bob Satterfield from the Way Out West tent of the Sons of the Desert, the International Laurel and Hardy Appreciation Society, started an online campaign to raise funds for a grave marker for Harry, which was laid in late 2010. Other Laurel and Hardy co-stars who also received grave markers through this campaign include Viola Richard and Sam Lufkin.

Appeared in Keystone films in 1915.

Later appeared in many Laurel & Hardy comedies, mostly playing cops.

Buried in Hollywood Memorial Park.
